Fun begins with Practice

The Blue Jays made their official practice debut Saturday, April 14 at Burning Tree Elementary School.

George Roggie, Dylan Edwards, Dylan Yoon, Ethan Yu, Justin Conner, Charlie Knowles, Braden Poon, Ryan Groban, John Wyatt, Jack Raymond and Jeremy Robertson had fun as they worked on the skills that will allow them to do their best this season.

April 14 Practice Review

The Blue Jays worked on:
  • READY position
  • Running as fast as possible and not watching their hits
  • Listening to the 1B and 3B coaches and doing what they say
  • Getting the ball in from the outfield on defense
  • Getting ARMS UP to stop the opponent from running
They practiced making outs in the field, talked about the importance of great sportsmanship, and did the grueling "bunny hop" around the bases.

The Blue Jays ended practice with a fantastic Minor League Scrimmage between the Flying Squirrels and the Iron Pigs.

Game - Sunday, April 15

The Blue Jays will play the Tigers (orange) Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at Westland Middle School. We will bat first because we are the visiting team.

Go Blue Jays!

Let's have fun and do our best in our season opening game tomorrow!

Coach Steve
