Blue Jays run ragged in Practice

Six Blue Jays and one sister had quite a workout at practice Saturday, October 8 at Whittier Woods Center. George Roggie, John Wyatt, William Amorosi, and Ethan Yu ran until their legs simply gave out. Braden Poon and Gavin Ferguson managed to remain on their feet. Lily Wyatt was exhausted after watching the grueling display.

This might have been the toughest practice we've ever had. The players took extra batting practice at 4:00 p.m. and then seemed to be ready to run.

So run they did... for the better part of an hour and a half!

They chased baseballs, ran the bases, participated in relay races, jogged the property line, and even ran backwards!

They tested their endurance by stepping up to the plate after each exercise. We were pleased to learn that the Blue Jays can still hit when they're tired.

Game - Sunday, October 9

The Blue Jays will play the Giants Sunday at 4:30 p.m. at Bethesda Elementary School.

Please arrive at 4:00 p.m. so that we can warm up, establish the batting order, and take our fielding positions for the first inning. We will be in the field first because we are the home team.

Thanks to the Yu Family for picking up the baton and supplying the post game snacks and drinks!

Go Blue Jays!

Let's enjoy the great weather, have a lot of fun, do our best, and demonstrate great teamwork and sportsmanship in our game with the Giants!

Coach Steve
