Storm foils Blue Jays' rematch with Dodgers
The Blue Jays were warmed up and ready to play the Dodgers Sunday, June 12 at Pyle Middle School.
Unfortunately, thunderstorms in the area forced us to cancel the game.
Nevertheless, we did manage to get a photograph of (almost) every player during warm-ups.
Let's take a look at everyone who would have played!
Aleka Frazier was eager to go!
Braden Poon was warmed up and ready to play.
Suzanne Pearl worked to refine her outstanding ground ball fielding technique.
John Wyatt honed his rapidly improving catching skills.
Sam Berman warmed up by shagging fly balls.
Ava Curley caught multiple fly balls and delivered accurate throws back to the coach.
George Roggie loosened up his left arm and hoped that the skies would clear.
Ethan Yu made some nice catches during warm-ups.
Jeremy Robertson worked to perfect his "mitt-up" ready position.
William Amorosi was all dressed up with no game to play.
Allen Tousi was there but we somehow failed to get a photograph of him.
Here, we see Allen warming up for our previous game with the Cubs. Notice the sunshine in the background.
Fortunately, inclement weather did not prevent Trista Robertson from handing out the delicious refreshments.
Thanks, Trista!
Let's hope that we have better luck with the weather this weekend for our final practice and game of the season!
Coach Steve
